Dragon Dash 🐲
What it is: Our annual jog-a-thon and the PTO’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Classroom funds, events, and school improvements all depend on this fundraiser.

Art Literacy 🎨
What it is: Parent-led art lessons bringing a featured artist into every classroom several times a year – no art experience required! Click to Learn More

How to help: Join the Art Lit team — training provided.
Math Olympiads➗
What it is: For grades 4 – 5; participants in the MOEMS (Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools), solve practice equations and prepare to compete in the broader competition.
When: November – March

Findley Flyers 👟
What it is: Findley’s twice weekly running club.
When: Tuesdays during lunch recess for all Dragons; Thursdays after school with parent supervision.
How to help: Volunteer to supervise laps – info coming soon!
Passport Club 🌍
What it is: For students 2nd through 5th grade. A monthly geography challenge — kids “travel” the world and earn stamps.
When: Monthly check days throughout the year
How to help: Volunteer as a quiz master — 1 – 2 hours a month. Info coming soon!
Findley Cub Scouts 🐻
What it is: For all children K – 5th grade. Scouting America aims to prepare young people for lives of impact and purpose. Scouting is for all youth and families who wish to live such a life of impact and purpose, guided by the Scout Oath and Law. Click to Learn More

Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB)⚔️
What it is: A team reading competition for grades 3–5. Book lovers and reluctant readers alike — teams make reading social. Click to Learn More

Fall Festival 🍂
What it is: An all-school fall-themed celebration at the end of October.
When: October 29th
How to help: Volunteer for a shift; help plan the fest – info coming soon!
Science Fair 🔬
What it is: An exhibition of our Dragons’ scientific aspirations on display in March.
When: March 18th
How to help: Volunteer to review applications; set up; tear down. Sign ups in February/March, stay tuned!
Book Fair 📚
What it is: A week-long pop-up bookstore at school, run by volunteers. Proceeds support the school library.
When: April 12 – 22
How to help: Sign ups in April: cashiering, setup, helping kids find the perfect book – more to come!
Carnival 🎡
What it is: Findley’s biggest party — games, food, prizes, and the whole community in one place. It’s part fundraiser, part thank-you to our community.
When: May 28th

5th Grade Celebration 🎆
What it is: Fundraisers throughout the school year designed to fund the 5th grade celebration and field trip.

Findley Yearbook Committee 🖼️
What it is: The parent volunteers who photograph, edit, and assemble the annual yearbook. No previous experience necessary, simply a love of capturing fun moments year-round.
